Art Contest Rules

All entries in the Diann Chase Longhorn Scholarship Expo Art contest will be judged in one of the following 2 categories. Entries will be placed in their respective categories by the Autobahn Youth Tour upon arrival and submission. Participants will be limited to one entry per category. Please note that the Sculpture and Crafts categories have been eliminated from the Art Contest.

Participants must turn in their art projects during check in. Mailed art projects will not be accepted.

Participants will compete within their age division. Best in Show is the exception and will be chosen from all entries.

Junior: 7-9 yrs

Intermediate: 10-12 yrs

Teen: 13-15 yrs

Senior: 16-18 yrs

Entries deemed to be 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each of the 4 age divisions within the 2 categories will receive scholarship money.

Presentation:

Works on canvas or canvas board should be painted on edges or framed. Works on paper including photographs should be on good quality clean paper matted or matted and framed.

Entries in the photography division must be a single photograph. No collages. A single photograph only, no exceptions.

Works not presented properly will be judged accordingly.

Inappropriate Subject Matter:

In the unlikely event of an entry deemed to depict inappropriate subject matter. The entry will not be accepted for judging. Autobahn Youth Tour’s decision on the appropriateness of an entry is final.

All precaution will be taken with Art Work but Autobahn Youth Tour will not be responsible for damage.
